With roots extending into the Aegean region, Osman Sezener adopted a passion for combining the ingredients of Turkey with the flavors of different geographies from the very beginning.
M. Osman Sezener was born in İzmir in 1982 and embarked on his gastronomic journey by developing an interest in his family's restaurant business. He began his education at İzmir American College and continued his studies in Tourism and Hotel Management at Bilkent University. He then pursued his studies at the New York French Culinary School.

After working in various countries and renowned kitchens, he returned to İzmir, expanded his family's restaurant, Ristorante Pizzeria Venedik, and created new brands. In 2018, he fulfilled his long-time dream by opening OD Urla, where he embraced the "farm to table" and "zero waste" philosophies in his kitchen. Since its opening day, Sezener has been creating seasonal recipes with the best quality produce he either grows himself or sources from local producers, offering a unique experience for the Urla region at OD Urla. With this innovative and impactful approach, OD Urla opened new doors in Osman Sezener's journey.
